Lead Pastor Update

North Way Family,

Happy New Year.

Frustrated. Angered. Disappointed. Shocked. Blame. I could go on with a list of emotions that we are experiencing after witnessing what transpired through the storming of our capitol building in Washington, D.C.

Proverbs 4:23 tells us to guard our hearts because the issues of life flow from there. In the midst of all the emotions that we are navigating, I am praying for our hearts. I believe that unity, peace, compassion and patience all stem from hearts that repent and follow Jesus.

Please join me in praying … our nation needs prayer now more than ever. Our hearts need these prayers also. May we never grow weary in prayers and may the spirit of Jesus invade our land.

Two quick things for an update:

  • Ephesians Series – This weekend we kick off a study of the book of Ephesians. I am excited to take our time through this incredible book of the Bible that both informs our belief and instructs our steps as followers of Jesus. I encourage you to read along each week as we unpack these scriptures and see how they speak to our lives today.
  • Short-Term Focused Groups – This January we launch some incredible opportunities to join in a small group, and you can check it out at northway.org/focused-groups for details and sign ups. 2020 was filled with lessons, one of which was the reminder of how important relationships really are … so if you are not yet connected in a group, check these out.

The Lord is at hand,
