Our Goals

  • Help people understand the biblical foundation for welcoming refugees and immigrants.

  • Welcome refugees and immigrants through prayer, service, learning, and advocacy.

  • Educate about refugees and topics surrounding refugees and immigrants.

  • Create a space for individuals passionate about refugees to connect, learn, and take action.

  • Gather and share resources related to refugee care.

  • Connect people to local opportunities to serve and give.

Who Are Refugees

Refugees are people who have fled war, violence, conflict or persecution and have crossed an international border to find safety in another country. The Refugee Ministry seeks to serve those individuals being resettled in Pittsburgh with refugee status, as well as other vulnerable immigrants such as asylum seekers, trafficking victims, and unaccompanied children. We can connect you with information and resources to learn more about these immigrant groups and the resettlement process.
