BV Discipleship Now Retreat

Discipleship Now Retreat is an exciting retreat experience designed to help students grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus through worship, biblical teaching, small groups, service, and community. Throughout the weekend, students will stay in host homes, build meaningful friendships, and be challenged to live out their faith boldly in everyday life. This is a weekend full of fun, spiritual growth, and opportunities to encounter God in a real and personal way.
Frequently Asked Questions:
1. “Where will my student be housed?”
Your student will be staying in the home of one of our fully cleared Student Ministry volunteers with the support of additional cleared Student Ministry leaders. These leaders will be sleeping in the same house as your students to ensure no one is ever left unattended.
2. “How will boys and girls be separated?”
There will be two host homes for sleeping/showering, one for boys, one for girls. Boys and girls will also be separated for small group to ensure safe and confidential conversations.
3. “Where/How will my student be traveling while on the retreat?”
Your student will be transported by cleared drivers within our Student Ministry volunteer team. These drivers have completed the proper safety forms through North Way Christian Community and have been returned with a clean driving record. Your student at no point will leave Beaver County and will be transported to and from their host homes, local parks, North Way Beaver Valley, service projects, and local dinning establishments.
4. “Does my student need money or electronics?”
At no point will your student need personal spending money, we advise leaving large sums of money at home. With that, we suggest leaving all electronics at home. Students may bring their personal cell device as long as it is not a distraction to themselves or others. Leaders and Staff reserve the right to put restrictions on personal devices while on the retreat if needed.
Students will be dropped off at their host homes for the weekend on Friday, July 10, at 6:00pm (Host home information and address will be emailed after registration). Pick up will take place on Sunday, July 12, after the 11am service at North Way Beaver Valley ( approx 12:30pm).
