GENERAL OVERVIEW
North Way Christian Community is seeking applicants for our Residency Program, designed for recent graduates who are looking to build their ministry skills, gain hands-on experience in church leadership, and discern their calling to help people know, experience, and follow Jesus. This program provides practical ministry experience, leadership development, mentorship, and opportunities to serve in a variety of ministry environments across the church.
Residency roles may range from 20 to 40 hours per week depending on the specific ministry assignment, and organizational need. Residents may have opportunities to serve in areas such as General Production, Student Ministry, Kids Ministry, Worship, Creative Arts, Operations, and other ministry departments based on experience, interest, and organizational need. The Residency Program is intended to provide meaningful ministry exposure while helping residents grow personally, spiritually, and professionally within a collaborative church environment.
Residents will work alongside ministry leaders and staff to support weekly ministry operations, assist with programming and events, build relationships with volunteers and attendees, and contribute to the mission and vision of North Way Christian Community. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about ministry, eager to learn, adaptable, and excited to serve the local church in a dynamic and team-oriented setting.
Education, Skills, and Experience

Recent college, university, seminary, or ministry training program graduate preferred

Prior ministry, volunteer, leadership, or production experience preferred

Background checks must be current

Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office-based products preferred

Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

Ability to work collaboratively within a ministry team environment

Ability to maintain confidentiality

Flexibility and willingness to serve in various ministry capacities as needed
