Our Thailand Mission Team was so ready to go at the airport at 4:00am, but…one flight delayed due to this winter storm, which threw off the other connections, and the leaders had to act quickly to put together a new travel plan. They did great work and we got back on track… just 13hrs later. So, we went home to nap (if possible) and return for round 2 of departing PIT. We will get there! And it will be in His timing, not ours. We are believing this was an ordained adjustment to the plan, out of God’s protection and provision. So, while we wait until departure… Meet the Team!
Starting in the back row, left-to-right, the guy in the black hat is Doug (trip co-leader), then John (trip co-leader), Erika (blue shirt, John & Dawn’s daughter), Jacky (blonde hair, black shirt), Amanda (red shirt). Going back to the left side, second row, the tall kid in the gray jacket is Cooper (1 of our 2 teens!), then Rebecca (black jacket, and mom to Cooper), Dawn (married to John, mom to Erika), Selah (braids, daughter of Jacky & Rickie, and our other teen!), Rickie (blue shirt), then lastly and most energetic at 4am, in the front is Jean. These team members represent several NW campuses.
This team has been meeting together monthly since July, learning about the culture of Thailand, making plans toward this endeavor, and growing together as a unit. We are SO ready for what God has in store for us! We feel that God has been preparing us well for the past year. Some of us have experienced spiritual warfare, which is to be expected when you’re working for the Lord. We welcome your continued prayers as we navigate the flight changes and spend the next 36 hours traveling to our destination!
