Blessed
And he went throughout all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction among the people. Matthew 4:23
When Jesus proclaimed the gospel of the Kingdom, He proclaimed who He expects His followers to be and what He expects them to do. We are to live distinctly as people of the Kingdom – pursuing internal righteousness that changes our hearts and external righteousness that changes our actions. Our focus then, shifts from the kingdom of this world to the Kingdom of God. In doing so, we experience the reality of the Kingdom now and look forward to it’s final consummation when Jesus returns.
