For Unto Us
This Christmas we look at Jesus as …
1. Wonderful Counselor
: God gave us the greatest gift—His Son, Jesus. But what good is a gift if we never open it? Often, we turn away from this gift, seeking purpose and guidance elsewhere. Jesus, however, is the only one truly qualified to lead us—He counsels not from a distance, but from experience. He faced temptation, pain, and loneliness but never gave in. As our Wonderful Counselor, He offers perfect guidance and light in a world filled with darkness.
2. Mighty God
: Where do you find strength and hope? Many of us battle darkness with the wrong weapons, seeking healing and restoration from unreliable sources. Jesus is our Mighty God—a powerful yet unexpected source of strength and hope. We must not overlook Him while searching for a different kind of savior. He is the perfect, mighty gift we need in times of weakness.
3. Everlasting Father
: If the idea of God as “Father” feels distant or painful due to past experiences, know that God is the Everlasting Father—perfect in love, protection, and presence. Unlike earthly fathers, He never leaves. He invites us to surrender our hearts fully to Him and to invest our lives in what truly lasts. The Gospel is the good news that brings eternal security and belonging.
4. Prince of Peace
: Though the world longs for peace, we often search in the wrong places—leading to anxiety, conflict, and unrest. True peace doesn’t come from circumstances but from knowing Jesus, the Prince of Peace. Only through Him can we experience deep, lasting peace within ourselves, with others, and with God.
