The team arrived at the Pittsburgh airport at 3:00 this morning and began a full day of travel. After 2 flights, a long bus ride, a walk, and a car ride later, we have arrived in Tegucigalpa and are all settled in with host families for the night. This is a very unique and special opportunity to be truly immersed in Honduran culture and experience life with caring, loving families who extend incredible generosity and hospitality to us! We had an opportunity to meet our translators and walk around the city with them to start observing and learning about the city.
Tonight we are thanking the Lord for safe travels and an introduction to Honduran culture, sights, and sounds. We are also praying for rest that restores our tiredness and fills us with energy for tomorrow. We ask for prayers for getting to know our host families and build relationships with the incredible local Christians graciously taking care of us; prayers that we will be filled with gratitude and respectful as we navigate language barriers and nee cultural experiences.
