“Return, O my soul, to your rest; for the Lord has dealt bountifully with you.”
Psalm 116:7
The Lord has been so good to us this week. We came with intentions to bless The Mission to El Salvador and the people of El Salvador and we are leaving with full hearts after being encouraged by Jon and Danielle’s ministry and the clients we’ve met.
Friday we traveled to the coast to take a moment to enjoy the beauty of this country, to rest and reflect before returning to our daily responsibilities and obligations in Pittsburgh.
In the evening we enjoyed a last meal by our guest house host Loida and debriefed as a group. Kristi P and Aidan P lead our last devotional reminding us we will pass through seasons of giving and seasons of receiving in our lives.
As we talked with our brothers and sisters in Christ this week I learned a new phrase in Spanish. When we would say in English “Lord willing” when we express future hopes and desires, they say “Primero Dios” which directly translates to “God first.”
“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
Matthew 6:33
Please continue to pray for the staff of Mission to El Salvador and the people of this country that they would seek first His kingdom.
Thank you for your prayers this week. We all can’t wait to tell you more stories in depth when we get home.
