Day Six

Today was such a beautiful reminder that sharing the love of Jesus doesn’t always happen through big moments—it often happens through laughter, conversations, and simply spending time together.

We celebrated Father’s Day with the men at Lighthouse with karaoke (shoutout Kristi P), games, gift bags and a water bottle raffle while Bryan shared a heart felt message for the Father’s. It was so much fun watching everyone laugh, cheer each other on, and enjoy being together.

The women spent time decorating prayer journals, creating space for conversations and connection. Etta taught a self-defense class (shout out Chris for being a vital role in Etta’s demonstration) and shared the Gospel, and Alyssa lead a Christian yoga flow. It was incredible to see how God can use each of our different gifts to encourage others and point them to Him.

After Ray and Jamie cooked up hamburgers for the Father’s day lunch, the team split up to work on some deep cleaning, packaging food, staining wood, and spending time playing games with the New Dawn boys.

We also had the privilege of meeting Wino, the sweetest little 2-month old yellow lab mix.

After a delicious dinner of homemade pupusas which Kim had the privilege of learning and helping with, the second group including Mark, Etta, Jamie, Bryan, Chris and Ray went out on food delivery. The team picked up 58 pounds of locally grown coffee to support the community.

Every day here reminds me that ministry is about showing up, loving people well, and trusting God to work through even the smallest interactions. Thank you for continuing to pray for our team as we share the hope of Jesus here in San Salvador.
