The Father Filter: The Most Important Thing About Us

Many of us were raised by great fathers, but no matter how good your earthly father is, he is still a human being. Human beings make mistakes.Most of the time, your father probably treated you the same way their father treated them. And like a ripple in a pond, the effects of generations before are affecting you today.Sometimes we just can’t help it to be impacted by the people who raised us. Truthfully, we all have some “daddy issues.” We are desperately needing to know what the Father thinks of us, we seek His approval and his love.If we don’t begin to challenge our view of God, then the ripple effect that has reached us from generation to generation will be passed on to those who will some day look to us as parents.What if we’re looking at the view of God through the lens by which we view our earthly father?Speaker: Pastor Billy Bob White
