Unoffendable
What if Christians were the most unoffendable people on the planet? Offense is something that we feel deep and the longer it lingers the less free we are. Yet Galatians 5:1 tells us that we were set free to experience freedom, and that we do not, and really should not return to a yoke of slavery. Could that also include being offended all the time?
Being unoffendable doesn’t mean quiet about truth that is misapplied or represented. It doesn’t mean sitting inactive and passive when injustice occurs. It also doesn’t mean being compromising in any and all situations just to keep peace. It means loving like Jesus without agreeing with or condoning sin. It means living like Jesus did.
Giving up your “right” to be offended can be one of the most freeing, stress-relieving, & joy-producing things you can do. It’s a radical idea: We’re not entitled to get offended or stay angry. Join us in this series as we navigate through Brant Hansen’s book “Unoffendable,” and we learn concrete, practical ways to be truly unoffendable.
