Do you believe God has uniquely created you with a purpose and plan? What if you heard God speak and felt the love of Jesus in a profound way? Imagine yourself in a community of people who cared about you, listened to you and helped you grow. What if you stepped into the Rooted journey and experienced personal transformation?

Rooted is a 10-week small group experience that will help you connect with God, the church, and your purpose. This experience starts with a workbook with five days of reading and journaling each week. At the end of the week, you will come together with your group and discuss what you have learned and read. In addition, you’ll grow in prayer and service through dedicated experiences. You will also learn concrete and easy ways to share your faith. For some people, all of this will help you fall in love with Jesus for the first time. For others, this may reinvigorate a stale, dry faith. For everyone else, this is a great way to experience Jesus in new and fresh ways. At the end of the 10 weeks, we will gather together as seven campuses in one location to celebrate what has happened over the weeks in Rooted.

This year’s study, Exile and Return, invites you on a powerful journey through the Old Testament, where God’s people were called to build His kingdom in a foreign land. Their story is our story – we, too, are strangers in a broken world, called to build for His glory. As we explore how God equips and positions His people, we’re challenged to ask: Am I building my life for Christ? Exile and Return reminds us that our time is now. Books included in this year’s study: Ezekiel, Daniel, Ezra, Esther, Haggai, Zechariah, Nehemiah, and Malachi.

Length of study: September 11- May 7 (with holiday breaks)

This Men’s class meets: Thursday evenings 7:00 – 8:30

This curriculum is developed by Bible Study Fellowship. BSF’s goal is global, in-depth Bible studies producing passionate commitment to Christ, His Word and His Church. The study book is available for $20.

Group members spend time in personal Bible study during the week with questions that prompt deeper thought. Once a week they meet for small-group discussion around what they have read. They also have access to a teaching that applies the truths of Scripture to daily life along with comprehensive notes on the passage they have studied.

Grief Matters provides a safe environment of care, support and guidance for any person who has lost a loved one or friend and who is working on the grief process (view video). You will be a part of a friendly, caring group of people who will journey together to learn about “grief” through a biblical lens and be given common language to describe your feelings, emotions and what you are going through. Grief Matters is led by people who understand what you are going through and want to help. You will gain access to valuable resources to help you recover from your loss and look forward to rebuilding your life.

WHEN/WHERE
This group will kick off on March 2nd at 6:30pm at the South Hills Campus and will meet for 13 weeks.

God: “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
Me: “Thanks.”
God: “Did you read all of my letters?”
Me: “Some of them.”
God: “Did you not have time, or…?”
Me: “I thought about it, but I think I got the gist from sermons and Bible studies.”

Now’s the time to read through the entire Bible! This group is open to everyone and will involve reading (roughly) a book a week on your own, and then coming together to discuss questions, oddities, and even mind-blowing verses or passages you’ve never seen nor heard in church. You will be amazed what you find! We meet on Mondays at the church.

We’ll be reading a book of the Bible with a study/companion guide chosen by the group on the first session. Join us at 6:30pm on Mondays at Chrissie & Jon Knudsen’s home in Upper St. Clair. All ages/stages welcome, but no childcare is provided.

Gerin and Diana lead a small group that will be exploring a book to help us grow in our faith. Kids are welcome to come play, but there is not childcare.

Join us for a book study, which will be determined by the group.

The group will meet on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 at the church. All participants are welcome.

Emily are excited to lead a group just for moms – a space to deepen your relationship with God and to connect with other moms. We’ll be going through Louie Giglio’s guide for the book of Colossians.

Ladies, come around Judith’s table in Canonsburg for a light supper and time of Bible study. Whether you are a new believer or more seasoned, the Gospel of John is always a rich treasure. As our guidebook we will be using “Come and See” published by The Daily Grace Company (2017).

If you are a woman who’s available during the day, come and join us for this new group! We want to build true community as we learn and grow together. All ages are welcome; come alone or bring a friend! (Please note that we will not have childcare available during our time together.) We will kick off our time by diving into one of the books of the New Testament.
