Discipleship Director (Dormont Campus)

JOB DESCRIPTION

North Way Christian Community is seeking a full-time (40hrs/wk) Discipleship Director for our Dormont Campus. This position provides leadership to the Discipleship Ministry and the execution of North Way’s Discipleship Pathway at the Dormont Campus. This includes connecting with first-time guests, providing vision and leadership to groups, recruiting, equipping, and caring for group leaders and helping people take forward steps of faith. The Discipleship Director also provides support to the Campus Pastor in areas such as congregational care, teaching in various ministry environments, and leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS

Fundamental qualifications for all applicants include a growing relationship with God, a desire to impact the world with the love and message of Jesus Christ, a discerned calling into this position, and the willingness to regularly attend and participate in North Way worship services and ministry activities. The additional minimum qualifications for this position include:

• Bachelor’s degree

• Minimum of five to six years of full-time ministry experience

• Four+ years in a leadership role (in a non-profit environment or ministry preferred)

• Demonstrated volunteer recruitment and leadership development experience

• Proficient in Microsoft Office or Apple based softwar

• Strong communications skills in both small and large group settings

• Background checks must be current
